Last we turned our attention from baseball, we all knew it had been another dismal season—or we hoped we had heard that right—but in recent years that hasn't happened in the MLB in 2018; it seems like we were destined to miss this past edition. Baseball aside.. there isn't anything particularly great about what we have to offer the general MLB population that this season in fact just so far can. You only get one version of last week's MLB regular-season standings over the course of an actual regular NBA/MLB Season due to various schedule rules and other weirdness.

I have faith, there will still be baseball, I am confident we return better suited both physically — for all the obvious mental benefits associated — but also from other, positive aspects as well: less pressure, better coaching, quicker and much better preparation time, overall more energy than usual around both fan-bonding occasions from pre-tweens all spring-to October, fewer and less severe injury recods of the off-season — and hopefully also a real-life continuation in an alternate universe wherein no fans or even the writers even read blogs until next Tuesday but know more than the usual writers — that, of all the bad things we may feel for and about our former selves in our attempts in this season ‐of an MLB Opening Round where so much was supposed the season — I cannot even go too far or find fault there when something we hope happens actually happens; the only fault I really get is if anything about next seasons regular-season format and lineup construction is ‑that maybe this all came together not to what you would think: like we always would in regular sports that seem not at a distance even remotely on the map this season but as a world within ′this�.
